Olivia Palermo, Pikolinos & Masaai Project

Beautiful Olivia Palermo acts as Project Ambassador
for Pikolinos Masaai Project

A clever way to help the women of the tribe.
While there is for sure some sweat involved this is not your
typical sweat-shop.
No ugly factory but the colors of Kenya.
These women are supporting their families and children doing what they have been doing
for centuries, playing with colorful beads they create ornaments for chic sandals
and accessories.
Oliva in the photo shoot is wearing a sandal called Nairobi in
jeans color, also nice in sandia deep red that will be a good summer neutral.
It retails for 115euros. It is made by leather and some semi-vegetal materials.
The bottom is rubber and it works if you plan to use this sandal a bit more
as a travel companion, I almost killed myself on the steps of Rialto in venice for a all chi-chi chic all leather sandal!
You can by them on -line or in the several Pikolinos shops.
A warning to the fashionistas, while this Masaai collection has some meaning in
style and as a good cause the remain of the items are a bit average.
I hope with such a large collection Pikolinos is keeping
the good clean act.
